EO Preschool Promise

The Eastern Oregon Hub and Malheur Education service District is pleased to announce Eastern Oregon Preschool Promise in Malheur County and Baker Counties.

We will have one classroom of 18 students at Nyssa Elementary School and one classroom of 18 students in Vale at Malheur County Child Development Center.  There will be limited transportation available for students in these locations.

We will also have 4 openings in a quality mono-lingual Spanish speaking provider in Ontario, as well as 6 openings in another quality bilingual Spanish/English speaking home provider in Ontario as well.  In Ontario there will not be transportation provided, however, these providers could accept students earlier in the day than the set preschool hours, and stay after to allow parents to drop them off before and after work.  The providers would charge an hourly rate to the parents for the additional hours.

In Baker County, we have 4 openings with one quality home provider in Baker City.  There will not be transportation provided for this provider, either, however, the provider could accept students earlier in the day than the set preschool hours, and stay after to allow parents to drop them off before and after work.  The providers would charge an hourly rate to the parents for the additional hours.

We are now actively seeking to enroll students.  Please click on the links below for the Eligibility Requirements as well as an application, or stop by the ESD office at 363 A St West, Vale, OR 97914 to pick up an application.  If you need further information, please call the ESD at 541-473-3138, or send an email to: Theresa.martinez@malesd.k12.or.us.
